Transport Super was previously known as the Transport Industry Superannuation Fund (TIS) and started in 1989. TIS was small by superannuation industry standards, and as this is a complex, highly competitive market, the TIS Board of Directors decided that the best option for members in the longer term was to merge into MyLife MySuper as part of a larger, well-established super fund.
TIS members and their employers joined the MyLife MySuper family on 1 December 2016.
